Laredo police arrest man who assaulted security officer during ice theft
LAREDO, TXÂ Â Aug 1 2018Â A man is arrested for allegedly assaulting a security guard after he stole ice from a local truck stop.
According to police 45-year-old Mouhamadou Diallo was arrested in the case.
Police say a security guard saw Diallo grab a bag of ice without paying for it.
When the security attempted to confront the man, Diallo refused to give him any money.
Diallo disregarded the security guards commands and got into his semi-truck.
In an effort to detain the man, the security guard stood in front of the vehicle, which is when Diallo attempted to run him over.
Diallo was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
