Las Vegas security officer finds murder victim shot numerous times
LAS VEGAS NV Sept 25 2017 A security guard found a man deceased from multiple gunshot wounds in a underground condo parking garage in the south valley early Sunday.
It appears the victim was shot once, ran from the suspect(s) and was shot several times again, said Lt. Dan McGrath of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department homicide unit.
“It looks like he’s shot, then there’s blood and casings so it looks like they’re shooting at him some more as he’s running. And then he collapsed,” McGrath told News 3, adding that it was a targeted shooting.
Two suspects, both black men, were seen running from the scene at Manhattan Condominiums, 32 E. Serene Ave., near Las Vegas Blvd. South, shortly after the 7:20 a.m. shooting. One was wearing a red hoodie, the other a blue hoodie. They hopped a fence and sped away in a black car.
McGrath said the shooting is likely related to gang or prostitution activity, adding that the condos are known for prostitution.
The identity of the victim as well as the cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County coroner after relatives have been notified.
