Lloyd Center security officer extinguishes kiosk fire
PORTLAND, Ore. May 29 2018 A small fire was quickly extinguished by a Lloyd Center mall security officer after it started under a kiosk on Sunday afternoon.
As smoke began to rise from the fire, a mall security officer responded with an extinguisher and was able to knock down the fire.
Portland Fire and Rescue dispatched crews at 12:27 p.m., but pulled them back after learning the fire was under control.
Portland Fire said there was no explosion, contrary to some original-citizen reports.
The cause is still under investigation. No one was injured.
