East Baton Rouge LA September 22 2019
A security officer is dead after another vehicle hit her parked car head-on early Friday, East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Casey Rayborn Hicks said.
Deputies responded at 4:30 a.m. Friday in the 19000 block of South Harrell’s Ferry Road where Yolanda Anderson, 46, was fatally injured, Hicks said.
Hicks said Anderson was parked at the dead end of South Harrell’s Ferry Road when another vehicle traveling eastbound along the roadway hit her.
Anderson was providing security at the time of the accident for a company that operates out of New Orleans, Hicks said.
A spokesperson for Paramount Television said in a statement Friday evening a security guard was killed during the filming of ‘Paradise Lost’:
“We can confirm that an employee of the vendor providing security detail on ‘Paradise Lost’ was struck and killed by a driver not involved with the production. Our deepest condolences go out to the family of the deceased and all those affected.”
The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital after the crash, Hicks said.
There is no word on what, if any charges will be filed against the driver.
