Madison police arrest man who punched security guard at East Towne Mall
Madison WI March 28 2023 Madison police arrested a man Saturday afternoon after they said he punched a security officer at East Towne Mall.
Officers were called to the mall just before 2:30 p.m. Police said the 47-year-old man had been causing a disturbance and was asked to leave the property.
While he was being escorted outside, police said he punched and spat in the face of a security guard.
The man was found nearby and police said he was combative with officers and tried to damage a squad car.
Police said the man threatened to kill officers while they were taking him to a local hospital. He faces charges of disorderly conduct, threats to law enforcement officers, discharging bodily fluids at law enforcement officers, resisting arrest and bail jumping.
The person has not been identified.
