Man Accused Of Hitting Greenwich Security Guard With Car
Greenwich CT May 20 2023 A 32-year old man accused of hitting a security guard with a car in Greenwich on April 13 was charged earlier this month, according to the Greenwich Police Department.
Randy Cosman, whose last known address is in Las Vegas, was taken into custody at Rikers Island by Greenwich police officers on May 5 on a warrant that charged him with reckless driving and evading, his arrest report states.
The Greenwich Time, citing an arrest warrant, said that on April 13 around 9:30 a.m., a security guard in an office complex on Steamboat Road found a man, later identified as Cosman, sitting in his car and told him to leave the private lot.
As the security guard walked away, he heard a car engine revving and tires screeching, Greenwich Time said, adding that the security guard was hit from behind by the car, causing injuries and bruising.
Officers linked the car to Cosman through video images, and learned from the Rye Police Department, who had dealt with Cosman previously, that he was living out of his car, Greenwich Time reported.
The arrest warrant came with a bond of $500,000, police said. Cosman was scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Friday.
