Man accused of molesting child at Volcano Bay water park
Orlando FL December 31 2018
A man was arrested and accused of molestation at a popular Orlando theme park.
Harry Booth, 26, of South Carolina, is accused of groping a girl at Volcano Bay.
Police said Booth intentionally moved closer to a little girl and grabbed her private area.
Investigators said he was deceptive about what happened during his interview with officers.
Booth was taken straight from Universal’s Volcano Bay to the Orange County Jail, police said.
According to a criminal complaint against Booth, the 10-year-old girl who was visiting from Brazil told police she was floating down one of the rivers at Volcano Bay when she approached a group of young men.
The girl told investigators that Booth, “appeared to intentionally separate from his group of friends and move closer towards her.”
The child then said he touched and grabbed her private area as she floated by.
Police said the child told her aunt, who then got a lifeguard and security officers kept a constant watch on Booth until police arrived. Police stopped him as he was coming out of another water ride.
According to an officer, “His body trembled, he bit his lip repeatedly and he looked away as though he was fabricating a story.”
Booth is facing a charge of lewd and lascivious molestation. He is being held without bond.
