Man accused of nearly hitting bar security with his car
LAREDO, TX March 1 2019 An alleged drunk driver is arrested after he nearly ran over a security guard in his attempt to leave a local bar.
Security guards escorted 34-year-old Orlando Alejandro Garza out of the business along the 500 block of Shiloh at around 11:30 p.m. Sunday night.
According to authorities, Garza got behind the wheel and hit a parked car.
When the security guard attempted to stop him, he allegedly attempted to run the guard over.
Police arrived shortly after and were able to arrest Garza and charge him with DWI, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
