Man accused of shooting at multiple people at Ice Event Center
OKLAHOMA CITY OK November 7 2018 A man, who’s accused of shooting at multiple people in northeast Oklahoma City, was arrested Saturday morning.
Police were dispatched to Ice Event Center, 1148 NE 36th St., around 2:46 a.m. regarding an assault with a deadly weapon.
Police say 45-year-old Christopher Sherva Coleman allegedly came around the corner of the business, shot at three people and was then tackled to the ground by multiple security guards. The man allegedly kept shooting as security attempted to take him into custody, according to the crime report.
One person was struck in the left forearm and left thigh during the incident.
Police were told the man had been informed to leave the property approximately 30 minutes prior to the alleged shooting and stated he would return. When the suspect returned to the property and came around the corner of the business, he allegedly said something to the effect of “what’s up now?” and drew a pistol from his waistband, police say.
Coleman was booked into Oklahoma County jail on complaints of assault with a deadly weapon and shooting with intent to kill.
His bond was set at $165,000.
