Man accused of shoplifting nearly $7,800 in items from Sam’s Club
FARMINGTON NM July 22 2017 — A warrant has been issued for an Albuquerque man accused of shoplifting nearly $7,800 in merchandise from Sam’s Club in Farmington.
Devon Liedtke, 39, is accused of two counts of third-degree felony shoplifting, according to court records.
The Farmington Police Department has been investigating two incidents of shoplifting which took place in March at Sam’s Club at 4500 E. Main St., posting photos from security cameras of the alleged suspect on the department’s Facebook page.
Liedtke is accused of stealing four Samsung HDTVs and five sets of security systems along with two coolers, solar lights and stereo equipment on March 20 and 25, according to the arrest warrant affidavit.
He allegedly stole about $3,790 in merchandise on March 20 and about $4,000 in merchandise on March 25. Both times, Liedtke allegedly presented a receipt to an employee and exited the store with the merchandise.
As part of the investigation, Farmington police believed Liedtke had used his Sam’s Club membership during a visit to the store.
The membership card was tied to a business account for Accelerated Impact Management based in Albuquerque with the names Devon Ollis and Jesonna Ollis listed under the membership, according to court documents.
The business address for Accelerated Impact Management listed in the court documents matches an entry for Accelerated Impact Management LLC on the New Mexico Secretary of State’s Office website.
The entry on the state secretary of state’s website lists Devon Liedtke as the registered agent for the LLC.
During the investigation, an officer told detectives she believed the man who allegedly led police on a vehicle pursuit on April 8 could be Liedtke, according to court documents.
Liedtke is also facing charges of aggravated fleeing a law enforcement officer, speeding and failure to maintain traffic lanes, according to court records.
Three different officers involved in the vehicle pursuit believed Liedtke was the man in the Sam’s Club security footage after reviewing the photos.
One officer showed Liedtke the photos during the April 8 arrest, and he denied being in the photos, according to court documents.
