Man arrested after airport police dog sniffs out pounds of pot in luggage in Louisville
LOUISVILLE, KY January 8 2019 The nose of a police K-9 led to the discovery of marijuana in the luggage of a passenger at Louisville International Airport.
Alejandro Marin II, 23, of Corning, CA, was arrested on a charge of trafficking in marijuana over five pounds.
His arrest report says officers were alerted to the drugs in Marin’s luggage by the dog. After receiving consent from Marin to search his luggage, approximately 30 pounds of marijuana was found in vacuum-sealed bags.
Marin was booked into Louisville Metro Corrections and was scheduled to be arraigned today.
