Man arrested after threatening Nashville Kroger employees with knife
NASHVILLE, Tenn. Oct 12 2017
A man was arrested after an affidavit said he threatened Kroger employees with a knife in Nashville.
According to an affidavit, Ritchie Esaw yelled “I’m gonna kill this b*tch after work!” and showed a security guard a knife tucked into his shorts.
The security guard, and also victim, tried to intervene when Esaw started yelling profanities again.
Esaw was picked up a short time later after officers spotted him near Arthur Avenue and Monroe Street, a few blocks away from Kroger.
The suspect tried running when he saw officers, but eventually complied with demands to halt. Police officers found a kitchen knife inside his waistband.
Esaw is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He’s being held on a $20,000 bond.
