Man arrested, charged with public indecency at Augusta Mall
Augusta GA Nov 27 2017 A man was arrested at Augusta Mall on Friday afternoon after shoppers reported that he exposed himself in front of the Gap.
A Richmond County deputy working a special duty assignment at the mall was contacted by a mall security officer at 6:18 p.m.
The security officer was patrolling the upper level near Kay Jewelers when he heard shouting and witnessed a man on the lower level with his pants down and genitals visible to customers. The man pulled his pants up and walked toward the Manhattan store, where he was approached by the security officer and deputy.
The deputy asked the man, identified as Victor Montrez Buggs, 27, of Hephzibah, to exit the store and asked him about the incident.
Buggs said his baggy pants fell down but that he had clothes on beneath them, the report stated. The man’s breath smelled of alcohol, and while walking to the patrol car, his pants fell down a second time, police said.
Buggs was charged with public indecency.
