Man arrested for robbery, assaulting security officer at Home Depot
EL PASO, Texas June 29 2021 A man was arrested and accused of robbery and assault on a security officer at a Home Depot retail store in west El Paso on Thursday.
Officers arrested 23-year-old Jose Angel Venegas.
The incident happened at the Home Depot located at 7545 N. Mesa around 5:30 p.m.
Police officials said Venegas stole property from the Home Depot and assaulted a security officer who had approached him.
Venegas fled the area with the stolen property but was later arrested at the nearby bus depot at 7500 Remcon.
Venegas was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility under a $10,000 bond.
