Man arrested in assault of Higher Ground nightclub security guard
SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. Jan 2 2018 A fight at a Burlington nightclub New Year’ eve left one man jailed and a security guard assaulted.
Police say the security guard at the South Burlington night club Higher Ground was assaulted by a Massachusetts man during a fight at the club.
Police say 38-year-old Matthew Dexter of Osterville Mass. was one of four people who got into a fight with the club employee. It happened Saturday night.
Police were called and Dexter was taken into custody. He is charged with simple assault and is due in court Tuesday.
