Man charged after allegedly pelting security officers with rocks
Ottawa Canada Nov 15 2017 An Ottawa man has been charged with assaulting two security guards after allegedly pelting them with rocks downtown.
Ottawa police say the incident occurred early on the morning of July 15 as the two security officers patrolled an area on Laurier Avenue near Metcalfe Street. They confronted a man who allegedly threw rocks at them.
Both security officers suffered injuries that required medical attention.
On Tuesday, Ottawa police announced charges against Mabira Karerama, 27, including two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of assault with a weapon, mischief and carrying a concealed weapon.
