Man charged, jailed after scuffle with Dayton Municipal Court Security
DAYTON OH January 14 2020
A Dayton man is back in jail, facing charges after he was involved in a scuffle with police last week during his appearance in Dayton Municipal Court.
Kevondae Eugene Richard, 25, was booked Monday afternoon into the Montgomery County Jail after a $50,000 bond was set during his arraignment for assault, obstructing official business, resisting arrest and two counts of disorderly conduct.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges and is next scheduled to appear Jan. 21, online court records show.
Richard was in court Jan. 7 on charges of assault, aggravated menacing and domestic violence when he spotted another person involved in the case and got involved in the scuffle.
Dayton police and court security officers grabbed Richard but not before a female security officer was pushed or fell into a wall. She was checked at a hospital for her injuries but was able to return to work.
