Man charged with assaulting Brandon Regional Health Centre security officer

A 40-year-old Brandon man was arrested over the weekend after he allegedly attacked a security guard while attending the hospital.
Police attended the Brandon Regional Health Centre around 8:50 p.m. Saturday after learning about an unruly patient who had arrived at the hospital for some unknown medical treatment.
An investigation revealed the 40 year old had not been at the hospital long before his actions escalated to the point where security was called.
During this confrontation, the patient spat in the security officer’s face and slapped him on the head.
The man was then arrested and charged with assault. He is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 7.
