Man charged with assaulting Loma Linda University Medical Center security
Lorma Linda CA June 5 2017 On May 31, 2017, Loma Linda Deputy B. Ortiz was dispatched to a call of an assault upon a security guard at the Loma Linda University Medical Center.
Ortiz conducted an investigation and arrested a person later identified as Jeremy Eger, 28, of San Bernardino.
Ortiz detained Eger for assaulting a security guard. Eger provided Ortiz with a false identity of a real person and insisted he was the other person. Through the investigation, Ortiz identified Eger and discovered Eger was on felony PRCS probation. Eger had lied because he had an active no bail warrant for his arrest. A subsequent search of Eger’s vehicle also revealed that he was in possession of a large amount of suspected stolen property. The investigation is ongoing.
Ortiz arrested Eger for the above charges, transported and booked him into the Central Detention Center. San Bernardino Probation issued a hold for Eger who is now being held without bail.
