Man charged with sex crime and assaulting security at Avalon Inn and Resort
HOWLAND OH October 1 2020 — A Canton man was arrested on sexual imposition, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest charges after he allegedly pushed a security guard and grabbed the breast of a juvenile hostess Saturday night at Avalon Inn and Resort.
Robert A. Zenobi, 63, was arraigned on the misdemeanor charges Monday in Warren Municipal Court. He was released on a recognizance bond and ordered not to have contact with the 17-year-old Mineral Ridge girl he is accused of assaulting.
A hearing is set for 10:15 a.m. Oct. 28 before Judge Terry Ivanchak.
Howland police reports state a heavily intoxicated man pushed a security officer and grabbed the teen hostess, kissing her and grabbing her breast over her shirt about 8 p.m. in the atrium of the resort. The teen told officers she had a red mark on her side from the groping.
Zenobi was arrested and booked into the Trumbull County jail at 8:37 p.m. Saturday. Jail records showed he was released shortly after midnight Sunday.
