Man found passed out by South Lake Hospital Health Pavilion security arrested for drugs

A man was arrested at the South Lake Hospital Health Pavilion in Leesburg after law enforcement was summoned to investigate a report of a suspicious person.
A security guard came upon a blue Chevy on the Health Pavilion grounds while patrolling the facility grounds shortly after 1 a.m. Thursday.
A male was in the car but was non responsive when the security guard observed him. A Leesburg police officer arrived on the scene to conduct a well being check on the man who was later identified as 34-year-old Billy Jack Sloan of Groveland.
Sloan was unresponsive until the officer opened the car door, reached inside and touched him to wake him up. Sloan told the officer that he was waiting for his girlfriend, who was inside the facility. Sloan gave the officer his driver’s license. When the officer ran a license check with the Leesburg Police Communication Center he was advised that there was a warrant for Sloan’s arrest out of Sumter County.
After placing Sloan under arrest, the officer searched him and found a clear plastic baggie which contained a substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine. After booking at the Leesburg Police Department, Sloan was transported to the Lake County Jail with bond set at $2,000 for the third degree felony of possession of a controlled substance.
