Man masturbated in front of Florida hospital-attacks security
Apopka FL Aug 19 2017 A man was arrested Wednesday after he masturbated in a hospital, then punched the security officer and nurse who asked him to pull his pants up, according to arrest records.
Juan Delon, 36, faces charges of aggravated battery on a law-enforcement officer, brawling in public and indecent exposure of sexual organs, according to the Apopka Police Department.
Police said Delon — a patient at Florida Hospital Apopka — kept touching himself in front of patients and staff about 3:30 p.m. despite repeated attempts from nurses and security officer Jose Diaz to get him to stop.
When Delon finally pulled his pants up and buckled his belt, police said, he lunged at Diaz. As Delon and Diaz struggled, both fell onto a bed set up in the hallway. Diaz was able to handcuff one of his arms, but Delon punched him on his head and shoulders with his other hand.
Joseph Oxentenko, a nurse who witnessed the scuffle, tried to help restrain Delon but got tangled up in the fight. Oxentenko spit out blood and had teeth knocked out by Delon, according to the report.
Michal Riley, another nurse who witnessed Delon’s “fully exposed” penis, said the patient was eventually restrained “both physically and chemically.”
Delon was being held on $2,950 bond at the Orange County Jail.
