Man shot after firing at Orlando mall security officer
Orlando FL Nov 12 2017 An armed confrontation between a mall security officer and another man has left one person shot and police investigating the incident.
The shooting occurred early Sunday morning near the 2100 block of West Colonial Drive in Orlando, police said.
Police said the security officer asked people to leave the parking lot around 3a.m.
One person argued with security, pulled out a gun and shot at the officer, police said.
The security officer returned fire, hitting the shooter.
The man suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.
Orlando police said patrol units were in the area and responded immediately.
There was no report of the security officer being injured.
