Man threatens hotel security officer with gun

Police surrounded a hotel after a man pointed a firearm at a security officer.
Police responded Sunday evening after the man had a confrontation with a security officer at the hotel and threatened him with a gun.
The man then barricaded himself in his hotel suite in the 600 block of Idylwyld Drive North.
Police called for an armored rescue vehicle. Shortly after the call, the man walked out of the suite and surrendered to police.
Police said that they found bear mace and a pellet handgun were found in his suite.
The man was arrested on several charges and will appear in court on Monday morning.
