Man with ‘dirtbag’ license plate lives up to the title
Bellevue WA Feb 14 2018 This dirtbag is really living up to his name.
A 40-year-old Washington state motorist with the vanity license plate “DIRTBAG” was arrested over the weekend after pointing a gun at another driver, punching a police officer, and making death threats, according to reports.
The hot-headed driver, whose identity was not immediately released, was in his red Chevrolet Camaro when he got into a fracas with another motorist, whom he rear-ended while in line at the Bear Car Wash in Bellevue on Sunday afternoon, CBS affiliate KIRO-TV reported.
Following the fender-bender, the driver whose car was struck got out and began taking pictures of the damage, when “DIRTBAG” – who was dressed as a security guard – whipped out a handgun and pointed it at him.
The victim quickly called 911.
When police arrived the driver of the Camaro refused to get out of his car, prompting cops to force him out.
As officers were taking the man into custody, he punched a cop in the face, made a racial slur about the other driver, and threatened to kill three cops, according to the report.
The man made “disparaging comments about the victim’s perceived identity,” NBC affiliate KING-TV reported.
Police ultimately used a Taser to subdue and arrest “DIRTBAG.”
The man was charged with first-degree assault with a firearm, assault on a police officer, malicious harassment, obstructing police and resisting arrest.
