Martin County school security employee arrested and accused of paying teenage girls for nude pictures
MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. December 11th, 2022
A Martin County High School employee is under arrest and accused of paying teenage girls for nude pictures.
Martin County Sheriff William Snyder said about a week ago, they got an anonymous complaint that a school security monitor, Alton Lee Edwards, who is also an assistant athletics coach at Martin County High School, was paying for nude photos.
“Most of these pictures were going back and forth by way of snap chat,” Snyder said.
An investigation was launched, and Edwards was taken into custody Friday morning.
“Now we’ve uncovered information that it was somewhat generally known by a segment of the school that he would do this if you would send him a picture of you undressed that he would pay you for it,” Snyder said.
Snyder said when Edwards was questioned by detectives, he was cooperative and allowed investigators to look at his phone.
