Masked man breaks into mall, threatens security guard, steals jewelry
MADISON, Wis. April 12 2018 – A security guard was threatened and ordered to the floor after confronting a burglar inside East Towne Mall early Wednesday morning, Madison police said.
The masked man implied he was armed when he was confronted just before 5 a.m. inside East Towne Mall, according to a release. No weapon was actually seen.
Officials said it appears the burglar broke a window to get into the mall and broke a glass display case at a jewelry kiosk, stealing chains, earrings and pendants.
The man is described as 6 feet tall with a solid build and an unknown race. He was wearing all black clothing, gloves and a mask.
