Memphis nightclub security guard murdered
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man watched his friend take his final breaths after he was shot outside a Hickory Hill nightclub.
Friends said the victim, a security was trying to calm things down when he was shot.
This happened around 4:30 Sunday morning at the Paradise Lounge on Winchester.
Two friends did security together at Paradise Lounge.
He said his partner wasn’t looking for trouble; he was trying to calm things down, and his friend did not deserve to die.
Rambo said that heartbreak is something he’ll carry forever.
Memphis police said officers responded to a shooting just before 4:30 Sunday morning.
Witnesses said it happened at the Paradise Lounge in the 5900 block of Winchester Road near the Hickory Ridge Mall.
The night of the shooting, Rambo said a fight broke out inside the lounge, and he and Druggy escorted one man outside.
A last attempt to deescalate the situation cost the guard his life. Now instead of preparing for another shift together, his family and friends now prepare to say goodbye.
Memphis police are still searching for the shooter.
