Men charged in shoplifting caper at Marlboro Township Kohl’s
MARLBORO, NJ June 5 2017 — Three Paterson men were caught trying to shoplift from the Marlboro Township Kohl’s last Thursday, police say.
Emmanual Ortiz, 25, conspired with two others, John Sanchez and Hilario de los Santos to shoplift more than $1,000 worth of clothing from the Kohl’s, police said.
Ortiz had a small, cylinder-type device with a magnet on him that allowed him to remove the security sensors from clothing, police said.
One man removed the sensors on 15 pairs of jeans and walked out of the store with the jeans in a shopping cart last Thursday.
Another drove the getaway car and a third acted as a lookout.
However, they were stopped and charged by Marlboro police.
