Milam County Sheriff’s Office employee arrested for large theft
MILAM COUNTY, Tex. Jan 1 2018
Authorities say that an employee with the Milam County Sheriff’s Office has been arrested for theft.
An internal investigation of missing money from the office led sheriff investigators to suspect one of their own employees in the theft.
Catrina Douglas was taken into custody by the Texas Rangers in Bell County.
The sheriff’s office says Douglas took a large amount of money over a 3 -year period.
The sheriff’s department did not say what position that Douglas held.
Douglas is out of jail on bond. A mugshot was not available for Douglas Tuesday afternoon.
