Money stolen from armored car outside Costco in Tempe

An armored car briefly went missing from out front of the Costco in Tempe on Sunday.
It was later found — minus some money.
The vehicle went missing from out front of the Costco near Elliot Road and Priest Drive.
Tempe police searched the area and later found it nearby in the same shopping center, behind The Dump furniture store.
Tempe police said the vehicle was found unoccupied with money missing.
Tempe police and the FBI are investigating.
Officials urge anyone with information about the theft to call the FBI at 623-466-1999 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
No further details were immediately available.
Police would not say if or how the armoed truck employees may have been involved in the theft.
