Moody Alabama police officer shot and killed at Super 8 motel
ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Ala. June 3 2020 A Moody Alabama police officer has been shot a hotel late Tuesday night.
Sgt. Stephen Williams died. He was the night time supervisor and a police officer for twenty-three years.
A large police presence could be seen at the Super 8 motel in Moody where the officer was shot.
The motel is located in the 2000 block of Moody Parkway.
Police Chief Thomas Hunt said that one of his police officers was been transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound.
Police said one officer has been shot and transported to the hospital. Two suspects are in custody and another is possible barricaded.
Helicopters including a medical hospital was at the scene.
The officer’s condition is not known at this time.
