Motorcyclist killed in collision with armored vehicle
Arlington TX Jan 23 2018 A motorcycle rider was killed Sunday morning when he struck an armored vehicle in the 1300 block of North Collins.
At around 9:30 a.m., Arlington Police responded to a collision between a motorcycle and an armored vehicle. The armored vehicle was traveling southbound and attempting to make a left-hand turn from the turn lane.
The motorcycle was also traveling southbound and attempted to go around the armored vehicle on the left side when he struck the vehicle on the driver’s side as it was starting its turn.
The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital, but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival from his injuries. The driver of the armored car was also transported to the hospital and treated for injuries.
The identity of the victim is being withheld, pending notification of the next of kin by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
