Mt. Juliet TN police officer found dead
Mt Juliet TN Sept 11 2017 The Mt. Juliet Police Department is mourning the death of one of their own.
Officer Brittany Frazier, 33, was found dead Saturday morning at her Mt. Juliet residence, according to a news release from the police department.
Foul play does not appear to be involved, police said. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is conducting an investigation into the death, at the request of Mt. Juliet police.
Frazier had been with the Mt. Juliet Police Department for just under a year and had previously served in law enforcement for many years, police said.
“Brittany was a caring and outgoing woman, who was dedicated to serving the Mt. Juliet community, and her presence always brightened any room she walked into,” said Police Chief James Hambrick.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, and we will ensure they receive whatever support is needed.”
The department said it won’t be releasing any more information and will in turn focus to support Officer Frazier’s family and the men and women of the Mt. Juliet Police Department.
“While our department family is hurting at the loss of Brittany, we are extremely grateful for the support we have received from our community, faith leaders, law enforcement partners, and local businesses. She was well-loved by all of us.” Hambrick said.
