Myrtle Beach security officer arrested for shooting into occupied vehicle
MYRTLE BEACH FL Dec 9 2017 — A security officer from Little River has been charged after Myrtle Beach police said he shot at a moving vehicle.
Adam Perry, 22, of Riverwood Court, is charged with discharging a firearm within the city limits, which is barred by Myrtle Beach ordinance. Perry turned himself in Friday morning and was released on bail, police said.
Law enforcement responded to a report of shots fired at the Quail Marsh Apartments at 2005 Greens Blvd., early Wednesday. Myrtle Beach Assistant Police Chief Marty Brown said in a release that Perry was performing his duties when he fired.
It is unclear if anyone was injured. Capt. Joey Crosby, a spokesman for Myrtle Beach police, could not immediately be reached by phone.
“No EMS was needed and EMS was no dispatched to the incident location,” according to a police report on the shooting filed Wednesday morning.
