Naked mall patron assaults security guard before lewdness arrest
LAWRENCE NJ Oct 12 2017 A Hamilton man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly punched a mall security guard who told him to put on clothes.
Joseph Michalski, 51, was charged with lewdness and simple assault after a patron caught him naked in a massage chair outside of Sears in Quaker Bridge Mall around 5 p.m.
The alleged assault happened when a security guard told Michalski to put on his clothes.
“We got a report of a nude man pleasuring himself in the common area of the mall outside of Sears where there are massage chairs,” Lt. Joseph Amodio said. “A security officer told him to put on his clothes.”
Officials say Michalski wasn’t pleasuring himself when the security officer arrived, but after being told to get dressed, he allegedly punched the guard in the face.
The security guard then tackled Michalski onto the ground and held him in custody until police arrived.
The guard was not seriously injured, according to police.
