Nashville security ofifcer detains man with gun, drugs at metro park

Metro Police arrested a teenager Sunday with over 180 grams of marijuana at park in Antioch.
Police say visitors to the Ezel Road Park told security guards they could smell marijuana coming from the car in which 19-year-old Rolando Araujo-Arzate was sitting.
After security approached the suspect’s car, he admitted to smoking marijuana and showed them a small baggie of marijuana.
Security also saw a pistol under the Araujo-Arzate’s vehicle, and he was detained until Metro Police arrived.
Metro Police arrived and found two backpacks containing much more marijuana.
Police found 184 grams of marijuana in several separate baggies and plastic containers, as well as a small amount of cocaine and items used for distribution.
Police also found a handgun and several rounds of ammunition in the vehicle, which was owned by Araujo-Arzate’s mother.
Araujo was charged with a slew of drug related charges and for having an illegal handgun.
He was booked in the Davidson County jail with a bond of $22,000.
