Talk of the Sound first began reporting on McLean in 2011.
McLean has a long history of disciplinary issues as an employee of the New Rochelle Board of Education. Talk of the Sound has previously incidents of McLean having sex with students including in the high school and stealing money from a “forced savings” racket.
McLean has been placed on 30 day suspension twice, prior to the most recent incident. In one case, McLean was accused of sexually harassing a student. In another, he was accused of sexually harassing a teacher. He most recently came off suspension prior to the start of the 2017-18 school year. Efforts were made by building leadership to transfer McLean but no other building would take him.
