New Study Released-Most Violent Cities-States For Security
Charlotte NC
Using statistical data collected from state and federal databases and the news and press release archives of Private Officer International, we have compiled the most dangerous cities and states for private security personnel during the years of 2015 and 2016.
The formula used to calculate these listings included known security officer deaths, reported injuries and reported incidents involved armed confrontations with firearms or bladed weapons seen or threatened as well as assaults by other means.
It should be noted that studies have shown that less than thirty two percent of all workplace violence incidents are reported to law enforcement and therefore not publicized in public records or the media.
Once again we found that the results mirrored the results for the most dangerous cities and states for law enforcement.
All states reported injuries and assaults to private security, loss prevention and private police officers.
Numerous states besides those listed showed substantial increases in aggressive and armed confrontations involving private officers especially in areas of loss prevention, residential communities and nightclubs.
