NH pair face robbery, assault on security at Kohl’s store

A shoplifting attempt at a Kohl’s store ended with a security agent being assaulted and two persons being arrested according to police.
According to Hooksett Police, officers were dispatched to 200 Quality Drive on Apr. 28.
Police were told of a theft and assault and were given a description of the suspect.
Amanda Bailey-Roberge, 32, concealed clothes and was attempting to walk out of the store with a television Saturday around 2 p.m. when an security employee confronted her at the entrance, police said in a news release late Saturday.
Bailey-Roberge tripped the employee and struck the worker several times before getting away, according to the release.
Police obtained a vehicle description with a license plate number and issued a statewide alert.
After a search, Londonderry Police located the suspect vehicle on I-93 south by Exit 3 and stopped the vehicle. Both Bailey-Roberge and Hanright were inside the vehicle and were taken into custody without any issue. New Hampshire State Police transported Bailey-Roberge and Hanright to the Hooksett Police Department for the booking process.
Hanright was also with Bailey-Roberge earlier Saturday during a theft at Bed Bath & Beyond shortly before the Kohl’s incident, police said.
Bailey-Roberge was charged with robbery, organized retail crime, willful concealment, and two counts of simple assault, police said. Bailey-Roberge also had a no-bail arrest warrant out of Merrimack County for possession of drugs and was being held at the Merrimack County jail, police said.
Hanright was charged with organized retail crime and willful concealment and also taken to jail, police said.
Both are scheduled for arraignment today in Merrimack County Superior Court.
