Norfolk police investigating armored truck robbery
NORFOLK, Va. March 21 2019 – The Norfolk Police Department is searching for a man who they say robbed a Brink’s armored truck at gunpoint Tuesday morning.
The call for the incident came in around 11 a.m.
The robbery took place behind the Soaps-N-Suds laundromat in the 7600 block of Granby Street.
The robber was armed with a gun when he approached the Brink’s truck and demanded cash from the driver, who exited the vehicle to enter the Soaps-N-Suds. Police said the guard complied with the suspect’s demands.
The suspect was last seen wearing a black motorcycle helmet, a black sweatshirt and blue jeans. He fled the location in a silver vehicle, police said.
There were no injuries reported.
