NYC security officer spots wanted felon aiding police in arrest
Manhattan NY July 22 2019
A homeless man who had eluded police for almost two weeks after he stabbed a bank employee with a hypodermic needle has been captured thanks to the eagle eyes of a security officer.
Boyd Taylor, 35, was nabbed shortly after 2:30 p.m. Saturday when a security officer at a building in Flatiron recognized him from the news as someone who hangs around the area, and notified cops, the sources said.
Taylor is accused of attacking the 58-year-old CitiBank worker inside the vestibule of a location on West 32nd Street in Midtown on July 12, when he tried to position a folding chair inside the bank.
After the victim confronted him, he became irate and jabbed the needle into her neck, police said.
Taylor was charged Saturday with second-degree assault, cops said. He has one prior arrest, from last year, for the same charge.
