Off-duty University Hospitals officer shot and robbed at East Cleveland ATM
EAST CLEVELAND, OH June 20 2018
According to East Cleveland police, an University Hospitals security officer was shot while off duty on Monday, June 18, around 7:40 a.m.
The incident took place at US Bank located at 1813 Forest Hill Boulevard in East Cleveland.
According to authorities, the off-duty officer was approached by an unknown black male with a gun, demanding his money after a withdrawing transaction.
The suspect then shot the officer taking his badge, wallet, and his off-duty weapon.
East Cleveland police said they are still gathering footage and interviewing witnesses.
