Officers arrest suspects in attack on security officer in Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. The Tucson Police Department is investigating a report of an assault on a security officer at TreeStone Security Services on July 2.
According to TreeStone Security Services, Security Officer I. Valente was conducting patrols around a gas station when he encountered four men allegedly smoking narcotics near the bus stop.
TreeStone said Valente approached the men and told them they were trespassing. One of the men got into an altercation with Valente and struck him in the face.
TreeStone said Valente was knocked to the ground, and the three other men joined in on the attack, with one of them allegedly throwing a metal pipe at Valente.
Valente was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, including a cut upper lip.
The TPD said three of the four suspects have been taken into custody and have been identified as 43-year-old Brennan Patterson, 35-year-old Malcolm Kelly and 32-year-old Tyrell Butler.
The TPD said Butler faces charges of disorderly conduct and trespassing, Kelly faces charges of assault and trespassing and Butler faces charges of aggravated assault.
The TPD has not located the fourth suspect and anyone with information should contact authorities.
