Offutt Air Force Base security officer charged with child abuse, sexual assault
OMAHA, Neb May 30 2022 An Air Force security officer finds himself behind bars for alleged sex crimes.
John Channels, 27, was booked into Douglas County Jail Friday afternoon for charges of child abuse and first-degree sexual assault.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, the victim was a 14-year-old female. Channels was allegedly the victim’s Taekwondo instructor.
The arrest happened after a four-month investigation, law enforcement says.
Channels is an Air Force civilian security officer at Offutt Air Force Base. He is also the president and CEO of Exousia Protection Agency.
