OKC security guard arrested, man man in critical condition after being thrown out of nightclub
OKLAHOMA CITY OK December 24 2019
A man was taken to an area hospital in critical condition after police said he was thrown out of a club in Bricktown by security guards.
Oklahoma City police said they were called Friday night to the Pink Parrot, where they found a man unconscious in a back alley. They told KOCO 5 that the man got into an argument with someone inside the club, which is when one of the bouncers put him in a headlock and tossed him out.
The man lost consciousness in the process, police said.
“With him being unconscious, he fell and hit the ground pretty hard,” Sgt. Kristopher Gellenbeck said. “He was transported to the hospital with a pretty serious head injury.”
According to police, two security guards were taken into custody for questioning. Police arrested one of the bouncers on a complaint of assault.
Police said video footage played a critical role in piecing together what happened.
“Luckily, they had video inside the club, but a lot of times, we don’t have that luxury,” Gellenbeck said. “So if someone has cellphone video of an assault, that could really help in solving a crime.”
