Oklahoma City security officer aids in drug arrests
OKLAHOMA CITY OK Nov 16 2017 – An alert security officer is being credited with the arrests of two alleged drug offenders in a South Oklahoma City apartment complex parking lot.
The bust happened Tuesday, November 7, just after 4 a.m. in the parking lot of Brookwood Village Apartments.
The security guard, who works for Signal 88 Security, called police because two people were asleep in a car.
When officers arrived, they found baggies with heroin residue, a drug scale, five cell phones, and counterfeit money.
Tessia Stubbs and Aaron Mcfardland were each charged with four criminal offenses.
Signal 88 General Manager Michael McDonald said their security officers pride themselves on being proactive, yet were surprised at everything police found.
“Yeah, we were floored, but it was good to get them out of there. We make sure the community is safe,” he said.
