Oklahoma Department of Corrections Officers Arrested On Drug Charges
Canute Oklahoma June 3 2019
The Oklahoma Department of Corrections announce Saturday evening the arrest of two officers for possession of drugs.
The officers, Micah Wascher, 36, and her husband Travis Wascher, 42, were arrested at their home in Canute, Okla., said a ODOC release, after a warrant was served by ODOC’s Security Threats Intelligence agents and members of the District Attorney’s Drug Task Force for District 2.
72 grams of methamphetamine were found in the home.
The Waschers were booked into the Custer County Jail on a charge of trafficking a controlled dangerous substance.
A judge, according to ODOC, set bail at $100,000 for each.
“People who deal in drugs belong behind bars and not working for corrections,” said ODOC Director Joe M. Allbaugh.
The Waschers worked at the North Fork Correctional Center in Sayre.
