Omaha police arrest man who critically wounded security officer
OMAHA, Neb. Aug 13 2018 Omaha police have arrested a 44-year-old man for a shooting that critically injured a security officer during a confrontation last week.
Ronald L. Williams was booked for 1st degree felony assault, gun used in a felony, possession of a gun by a prohibited person and possession of narcotics with intent to distribute.
Investigators said Williams shot Keith McNeese, 62, near 30th and Ames in late July. Officers were called to Big Jim’s at that location at 1:44 a.m. to investigate a report of a shooting.
They arrived to find McNeese who had been shot several times.
McNeese had been working security for Big Jim’s when, police say, Williams came into the store and fired several shots. McNeese was taken to the hospital and remains in critical condition.
Officers arrested Williams on Friday.
