Omaha security officer shot
OMAHA, Neb. July 28 2018 Omaha Police have identified a security guard shot near 30th and Ames early Saturday morning as Keith McNeese, 62. He was critically injured but authorities say he is expected to survive.
Officers were called to Big Jim’s at that location at 1:44 a.m. to investigate a report of a shooting.
They arrived to find McNeese who had been shot several times.
McNeese had been working security for Big Jim’s when a man came into the store and fired several shots, striking the victim. McNeese was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The gunman, who was wearing a red coat, fled north through an alley.
